A Little Spring Dress

I happened upon a Tessuti fabric shop voucher for Christmas (because that's what I ask for every year!), and when purchasing this beautiful olive spotted cotton also spied a poster for the Tessuti Awards. I had admired some of the entrants last year, but ruled myself out due to insecurity about my sewing capabilities. Well, not this year! It just so happened that I had chosen a spotty fabric and was planning to sew a dress - which fitted the criteria of 'Spots & Stipes' perfectly. So here is my creation. Please pop on over and vote for me in the 'People's Choice Award' and check out all the other fabulous entries. Next year I aim to design my own. Ambitious, yes!

Yay it's Spring-y enough for a dress and a ride in the sunshine! I have flowers in my garden beds and tweeting birds around the place. What a lovely reminder this time of year is that we can all emerge again from our heaters and hoodies and get some sun on our skin. Lots of park time, picnics and playing outdoors coming up for us.

Oh and let me introduce you to my new bike Pearle. She's a second hand beauty and I'm totally loving being back on the road now that we have a bike trailer for Elijah. More on that another day.
